My Purpose

My purpose is to expand the awareness in the community of Central Oregon  of the tremendous benefits offered by our local libraries. Friends groups help the community by increasing awareness of the resources of local libraries, resources such as computer training and exposure to art. Libraries encourage young people to read books and write essays and short stories to be critiqued by others. Libraries are centers for learning, and places where one can initiate communication with other people of similar interests.
